Project: America Eraased

Role: Set Photographer

Client: Wieden+Kennedy NY + Courageous Conversations

Year: 2023

As the set photographer for "America Erased," a powerful film directed by Omar Jones tackling the issue of book bans and censorship of black history in American classrooms, my role was to capture the essence of the production. From candid behind-the-scenes moments to poignant stills that encapsulate the film's message, I documented the journey of bringing this important story to life.

Each click of my camera lens served to immortalize the passion, dedication, and emotion pouring into every scene. As the narrative unfolded on set, I stood as a silent observer, translating the raw energy and urgency of the project into visual form. Through my photographs, I aimed to amplify the impact of "America Erased," shedding light on the vital conversation surrounding educational censorship and the erasure of marginalized voices from history.
